Other Causes of Dryness

Vaginal dryness is commonly associated with either menopause or a lack of excitement. If dryness is a result of menopause then some personal lubricant is in order; if it’s a result of a lack of excitement, a new partner is in order. However, there are several other causes of dryness that are not quite as well known. The reason that menopause has do with the decrease in estrogen when menstruation stops. Thus other menstrual interruptions will also lead to natural dryness spells. Pregnancy, then, will sometimes result in vaginal dryness. Birth control pills, too, because they prevent insemination by operating on the body’s menstrual cycle can also lead to dryness.
