Intrigue

K-Y is one of the most respected personal lubricant brands out there. Their products set a standard in the marketplace, and I feel they lead the business in innovation. However, with their premium brand, “Intrigue” it seems to me that they are innovating in the wrong direction. Instead of trailblazing on product quality or diversity, the idea here seems quite obviously to be, “Let’s apply perfume marketing tactics to personal lubricant and charge way more money.” What this means is that with Intrigue you are paying a premium not for quality product but for advertising. It is my hope that K-Y, in the future, will confine its new products initiatives to more interesting concepts, such as their misting spray and their 2-in-1 massage/lubricant combo.
